(национальная) минимальная заработная плата, минимальный размер оплаты труда (минимальный уровень оплаты труда в виде наименьшей почасовой ставки заработной платы, официально устанавливаемый государством с целью поддержания уровня жизни работников; в Великобритании выделены три разных ставки национальной минимальной заработной платы для разных категорий работников; система используется с 1999 г., ставки регулярно пересматриваются; с октября 2007 г. действую следующие ставки: основная ставка, для работников в возрасте 22 лет и старше — 5,52 фунта стерлингов в час, для работников в возрасте от 18 до 21 года включительно — 4,6 фунта стерлингов в час, для работников в возрасте 16-17 лет — 3,4 фунта стерлингов в час; для учеников/подмастерьев в возрасте до 19 лет минимальных размеров оплаты труда не установлено; на оплату труда учеников/подмастерьев в возрасте от 19 лет минимальные ставки распространяются только после первого года прохождения практики)See: -
